I've been a hermit of late due to automobile woes. There is nothing that bothers me more than being stuck inside for too long. I love being on my feet and exploring new locations, so this walk through Callaway Gardens was a much needed change of scenery.

The Aviator

Brady received an aviator hat and goggles for Christmas, so we ventured off to Grant Park in Atlanta to explore some of the more rustic locations of the area, and to capture Brady in his newly acquired costume.

Recently my grandparents arrived in Atlanta for a wonderful, though brief visit. Unfortunately the onslaught of wind and rain forced us to scratch a bit off from our original itinerary. Despite this, we were in good spirits and ventured off to enjoy the local aquarium and zoo.

Aside from galavanting around Atlanta, I also received a bat skeleton from my cousin, Amanda. I've been dreaming of owning one for quite a while, so to finally have one in my possession is a bit surreal, and I cannot thank her enough. Not only is it grimly beautiful, but it's so much fun to photograph.

Winter Solstice

December 21st was one of my favorite days of the year, the Winter Solstice. To celebrate we ventured off to the rural land of northern Georgia to visit our friend Julia, who runs an organic farm in the area. Her property is beautiful. Seemingly endless hills of lush green, and forests looming over the land, made all the more beautiful by the onslaught of rain that fell from the clouds of silver throughout the morning. The gloomy weather was perfect for photos, so I brought my dear friend Ayla along to take some portraits.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a huge fan of the HBO series Game of Thrones. What I love most about the show is the striking visuals. From haunted and frost-fallen forests, to hills of moss and stone veiled in mist, every scene is visually inspiring and filmed beautifully, and this trailer shows that season 2 will be no different.

The Young Wolf

With camera in hand, we ventured into Oakland Cemetery with my little brother, Brady, clad in his furry wolf hat and goggles. The cemetery was full of life even during the final moments of Autumn. Flowers of vivid colors surrounded us, and a myriad of aromas filled the air. The weather was perfect for shooting, and everyone was in good spirits.
